The first trip to Johnson Dining Hall of the semester was disappointing. I mean don’t get me wrong, the pizza and french fries are great, but I want healthier choices. The only vegetable offered was broccoli, but it was cold. I have been filling out surveys since I was a freshman and none of my suggestions have been used.
My ideas: grilled chicken to go on salads, bread bowls for soup, whole wheat pasta, more vegetable options, fresh fruit (offered at breakfast, but no other meals) and deli meat wraps. The deli meat wraps were offered at lunch my Freshman year. I would wait in a five minute line to receive one. It was such a good idea!
I know, I know, if I don’t like it, why do I still eat there? It is so convenient for my hectic schedule and I’m unfortunately a terrible cook.
The good thing about the dining hall… It is part of the YCP experience and I will never forget the memories I made with my friends there.
